I've been listening to Lily Allen as if she's going to go out of style. She's absolutely brilliant!!! Her cool British accent, whimsical lyrics and catchy beats has me hooked.
Some may say Lily is a little mean because her lyrics are about smiling at an ex-boyfriend crying, an old lady getting knocked over for her jewelry and her brother smoking weed. She tells it like it is and quite frankly it's refreshing considering she does it in such an upbeat song. This star from over the pond reminds me of Gwen Stefani, Imani Coppola and Garbage all rolled into one.
Fact: Smile is the first song on her album which coincidently is the first song she wrote and recorded as well. (Lily Allen)
