The evening started at Acme with dinner with Libby to catch up on all the gossip. We then headed to CBGB to meet up with Daniel so he could show me where I would be filming. He points to this big wooden crate looking box which is about 7 feet high with a built in ladder to climb to the top. I looked up at it with concern. I wasn't sure I had the balls to climb up on it but I nodded my head and said ok.
Libby and I found seats and listened to the band that was currently playing awaiting the CBGB debut of the The 5hotgun Wedding. Finally it was The 5hotgun Wedding's turn and everyone was crowded up right in front of the stage. I found my way with Libby to the crate so I could climb in a moment's notice. A song or two later I decided to climb up and film. So there I was on top of this 7 foot wooden box filming the boys. I have to admit I felt a little special. I had this awesome unobstructive view of the show.
A couple of songs later Diaka came and she and Libby enjoyed the show from below me. It wasn't until half way through their set that Daniel realized I was on top of the crate. He decided to have Chris (the lead singer) shout me out and thank me for filming. I was so embarrassed as everyone looked up at me. Diaka and Libby ofcourse are screaming for me. The show continues and the boys play a great set.
For the grand finale Daniel takes his old guitar and completely smashes it on stage. That is ofcourse the reason I climbed on top of the wooden crate. It was to film this very special moment for Daniel. After the show he kept playing that part over and over. It was amusing. It was a great night and I must thank Daniel for inviting me.

Live shot without flash.
