CBGBs with The 5hotgun Wedding

The evening started at Acme with dinner with Libby to catch up on all the gossip. We then headed to CBGB to meet up with Daniel so he could show me where I would be filming. He points to this big wooden crate looking box which is about 7 feet high with a built in ladder to climb to the top. I looked up at it with concern. I wasn't sure I had the balls to climb up on it but I nodded my head and said ok.

Libby and I found seats and listened to the band that was currently playing awaiting the CBGB debut of the The 5hotgun Wedding. Finally it was The 5hotgun Wedding's turn and everyone was crowded up right in front of the stage. I found my way with Libby to the crate so I could climb in a moment's notice. A song or two later I decided to climb up and film. So there I was on top of this 7 foot wooden box filming the boys. I have to admit I felt a little special. I had this awesome unobstructive view of the show.

A couple of songs later Diaka came and she and Libby enjoyed the show from below me. It wasn't until half way through their set that Daniel realized I was on top of the crate. He decided to have Chris (the lead singer) shout me out and thank me for filming. I was so embarrassed as everyone looked up at me. Diaka and Libby ofcourse are screaming for me. The show continues and the boys play a great set.

For the grand finale Daniel takes his old guitar and completely smashes it on stage. That is ofcourse the reason I climbed on top of the wooden crate. It was to film this very special moment for Daniel. After the show he kept playing that part over and over. It was amusing. It was a great night and I must thank Daniel for inviting me.

Night Out

Tonight I'm going out with Libby for dinner at Acme. Then we're meeting up with Diaka at CBGB to watch The 5hotgun Wedding. I'm really excited about this evening. I haven't been to a gig in the longest time. If I remember correctly I think the last gig I went to was my friend Daniel's band moonraker. This band is actually my other friend Daniel. So I guess the Dans have been the only ones lately who have been able to get me to be more musically interested. Good for them! Anyhow I've been promised a kickass performance tonight so we'll see. No matter, I'll get a chance to hang with 2 of my favorite girlfriends and catch up with an old schoolmate.

At this very moment I could be in Florida basking in the sun but no I'm here in my beautiful office sitting in my beautiful cubicle. Why? All because I didn't call back early enough. *sigh* I may get another chance in January but this time the destination is Mexico.

Got back a little while ago from buying cheap over the counter meds. I'm officially stocked up on Z8ntac, gum, Ben G8y and Li5terine. And Nesa if you're reading this I got you a box of Chic1ets for the new school year.

Auntie Pinr8t or Auntie Penny?

That was the question she asked me on IM before she confirmed they would be expecting late February or early March. I am so estatic for them! There are really no words that can describe just how elated I am. I ofcourse get to be an Auntie (again) but this time my new little niece or nephew will be an NYC baby! Wheee!

Launching...

I know you're all excited that I've returned. It's been a long couple of months but thank you for bearing with me and constantly checking in. I've finally launched the new site with better UI and new a look. Most important though - NO TABLES! I must thank K though. If it wasn't for hacking her CSS I wouldn't be here.

I decided to start fresh so I didn't import the old entries. I shut down the other site mid April and since then my life has incurred so many changes that I felt this site should reflect that. I'll try to post as often as I can but I make no promises to you. Enjoy!
